I took a photo of this Japanese garden house after an April snowfall. I, later turned the photo into a digital painting. The garden is located Como Park in St, Paul, MN.

I believe that part of being made in God's image includes being a co-creator with the Creator. Creating visual art is one way I have done this since childhood. I was given great encouragement to learn and practice during my days in the Cleveland (Ohio) Public Schools. I studied illustration at Kendall School of Design (Grand Rapids, Michigan) and fine art at Hope College (Holland, Michigan). While studying for two seminary degrees, M.A. Peace Studies at Goshen Biblical Seminary (Elkhart, Indiana) and Master of Divinity, Bethany Theological Seminary (Oakbrook, Illinois), I incorporated various forms of visual art into my class presentations.
